Cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT)

This treatment, which is delivered by a type of pacemaker, is for patients with heart failure.

This is for patients with a slow heart rhythms.

 

Implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs)

This device is for patients who have had a serious heart rhythm problem or who for those who are at risk of developing it.

 

Cardioversion

This is for converting a fast heart rhythm to a normal rhythm.

 

Ablation

These procedures are for restoring normal rhythm in patients with atrial fibrillation or other fast heart rhythms.

 

Angioplasty and stenting

These procedures are for patients with heart attacks or angina.

 

Bypass operation

This an operation for patients with angina.
